Social Marketing

Social Marketing like Facebook and Twitter is something I am relatively new at, although it has took the place of all PPC campaigns I used to run. It's alot easier to type in a few words and get immediate response clicks for free than it is to make up competitive ads and then have to pay. If you have a following that is interested in your products you absolutely cannot go wrong by posting on social sites. I love it, and it's absolutly simple. There are many products that try to automate these markets, but I enjoy reading other posts. People have great information, I found the absolute best site I could have asked for through Twitter(I will share at the end). If I was using automated software I would have never saw it. Plus it is a moneysaver, I haven't paid for any PPC in months now and have made more money. I enjoy marketing on these markets, its a little less of a job and a little more fun. When I started trying to get into Internet Marketing, I done it because I enjoyed it. Recently, I have noticed that I have invested time, money, and effort into marketing and wasn't enjoying it. I have a job that I do not enjoy, this was supposed to be my release. To make a few extra bucks and have a good time while doing it, now using social sites I am able to enjoy it again, Hooray. Thanks for reading my short little post today, keep coming back for more good stuff. Thanks all.

Mailing Lists

Hello again, I realize there are several classes of web users and I realize some do not know about others. I like to think there is money to be made and people to be helped out here on the great big web. I would also like to think I have some Idea about what I am doing. Marketing is more of a hobby than a job to me, I do work at a regular job as my wife does also. You will never get rich overnight, but there is programs that do help build lists, drive traffic, among other marketing musts. This post is for you, the people who casually surf, see things and wonder how it works, dream about making supplemental income and passive extra cash. You will never- and I repeat-never know anything about marketing if you research it on Google, Yahoo Search, etc. I have a huge mailing list that I have been building for years and require double opt-ins, this ensures me that you aren't wasting my time. I promote products to my list, I send information and reviews on my list, most of all I require an opt in for my list. I get these from several places, web forms, email referrals, marketing software, and some others. I help my subscribers by pointing them towards recommended products, sending them to my blogs and other social posts, and just developing a relationship with them. You will never experience this unless you are on my or someone else's mailing list. The reason this is the subject of my post is I have been a victim of scam emails also, I know it sucks but it isn't what we all do. In fact I would like to think information sharing is my first priority and monetizing comes second. I am not alone in thinking that but I know there are people who just want you to buy and nothing else. I had a very hard time getting a business built so I want to give back to newer people, it is my pay it forward obligation. I do promote affiliate and marketing programs, Clickbank, programs I have purchased and ones I have had a personal relationship using. I use Facebook,Twitter, Linkedin, and many more places. That doesn't make me a spammer and if you got my newsletters and feeds you would realize that also. We, as Internet Marketers, have a strict group of rules and guidelines we must follow. The majority of us do, but some do not and I apologize for that. Please do not group everyone in marketing together as spammers, join a list and see the difference in marketers and spammers. I can guarantee you that if you get a promotion from someone you subscribed to, the product is something you can use. Why would we waste our time if the product was useless, charge-backs are heart-breakers. Come back daily and read, sign up for my or someone else's mailing list, and look at our products. Again, marketers do not send things that aren't valuable, its the number one rule-Promote a product that has value. Thanks everyone, check out the links below.

Article Marketing

One of the easiest ways of launching an affiliate campaign is by using article marketing directories.
With article content, you can simply submit it into the larger article directories and within minutes of being approved, can begin to see traffic flowing to your landing pages.
In exchange for providing them with free content, you get to include some text and links in a section at the bottom of each article called a resource box.
There are a few important ingredients to creating high performance Article Marketing campaigns that maximize the overall effectiveness of your marketing efforts, while ensuring that you receive the most exposure possible from each article that you submit into the online directories.
First, writing an article on just any topic isn’t going to yield the results you’re looking for, if you haven’t first conducted keyword research to identify what your target audience is actively looking for, and the exact keywords and phrases they are using to be able to locate content on your topic. This is fundamentally one of most critical elements of a successful article marketing campaign.
The closer you are able to target your prospective customer base with well written articles that incorporate primary keywords, the more traffic and exposure you will be able to generate. Think about the possibilities if you carefully evaluated a niche market, creating keyword swipe files of highly relevant terms and phrases and incorporated them into your content.
Not only will this help you position yourself within the search engines, but your visitors and readers will be exceptionally targeted!
Each article should be between 300 and 600 words in length and provide useful information that your target audience would find appealing.

The greater the number of articles in circulation, the more exposure you will receive, however you always want to focus on producing high quality content, rather than just on the quantity that is being distributed between these networks.

EzineArticles.com (http://www.ezinearticles.com) is the biggest, most popular, highest-traffic article directory. They have tremendous authority in Google, and articles often rank extremely well, so they can get a lot of traffic.
As long as your articles are structured so that you are providing solid, useful content with a link back to your website showcased within the resource box, article marketing is a simple and effective strategy to generating prime traffic.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that you should always use anchor text within your resource boxes, rather than a direct link to your site.
Anchor text will help you rank for many different keywords rather than just your website URL itself.
Here is the HTML code to use in your resource box if you want to use anchor text rather than a direct URL:
http://www.yourdomain.com” > Your Anchor Keyword Here

You would replace yourdomain.com with your domain URL and include a relevant keyword phrase in the anchor text.

The most important thing to remember is that you need to create a compelling Author’s Resource box as this is the area where you are able to include a link to your website and direct readers to explore your own personal site.
Since the space allocated is quite limited, you need to focus on using a strong call to action that prompts the reader to click your link and visit your website.
The best way to go about creating your Author’s Resource box is to think of it as a short commercial, where you are given a very limited time to explain the benefits and highlight the most important features of your product or service. In addition, if you offer a freebie or giveaway within your Resource Box, rather than a direct pitch (such as directing your reader to download a free report or ebook by visiting your squeeze page), you will instantly maximize your articles performance in terms of driving targeted traffic to your websites, as well as in building relevant mailing lists of potential buyers.
Here are a few things I successfully featured within my article resource boxes to generate traffic and build a list of responsive buyers:

 Free Reports
 Free Ebooks
 Free Scripts
 Free Content (PLR, MRR)
 Free membership (even trial will work)
There is also yet another reason why article marketing is such a lucrative method of generating traffic to your website.
Since articles are available for re-print, where webmasters can use your content on their websites and communities, (as long as the Author’s resource box is left intact), you will also be able to build additional back links from the websites that feature your content throughout their network.

Here are the top five article marketing directories that I personally use for all of my campaigns:

www.EzineArticles.com
www.GoArticles.com
www.ArticlesBase.com
www.ArticleCity.com
www.ArticleDashboard.com

You can always choose to save time by hiring an Article submission service to automatically submit your articles for you.
One popular resource is available at:

Product Selection Made Easy

Choosing quality products is an important part of every affiliate campaign, because you want to make sure that you are setting up campaigns around products that are likely to convert.
This means that you need to spend time carefully researching and evaluating products in order to choose winners. Your ability to generate commissions and convert visitors into buyers depends on the quality and brand of the products you choose.
When it comes to choosing a niche, there are two methods that will help you get started:
1) Choose a niche that is evergreen
2) Identify demand and profitability based on existing competition
One of the most important things you can do is first evaluate and identify niche markets that encompass three major elements: 1) You can easily identify exactly who your audience is.
2) There are motivated, active buyers in the niche market.
3) You are able to penetrate the market with your campaigns.

There’s no sense in trying to find an untapped niche market. There are few of them out there and those that exist would take a lot of work in order to penetrate. Then, you’d have to condition buyers, research angles and test out different campaigns and approaches before you determine what was successful. Forget about that! It’s always easier to make money in niches that are already proven to be profitable, because if you do that, you’ll instantly maximize your chances of building a successful campaign. Evaluating markets doesn’t have to be difficult. Your primary objective is to determine the viability of a market based on existing demand and buyers. You do this a number of different ways, including by researching the number of products in the market versus the demand / size of the customer base. In most cases, you’ll be able to determine the viability of a market, (or even a specific product) in a matter of minutes just by using a combination of market research with search engine research. You always want to conduct as much research about your markets as possible so that you can really understand what your target audience is interested in and create compelling campaigns that ‘speak their language’, essentially communicating directly to your target audience.

You want to know: - What people are currently buying
- Where there are any potential market gaps for products you could create - How much of a demand exists in the market - What your customer base is most interested in, concerned with, needing help with.
In other words, pay attention to who you are selling to before you determine what you are going to sell and your campaigns will be successful.
It's likely that you've already got most of the research you need right in your own memory bank. Think about the general health market and then dissect it so that you have 10-15 health related niches to evaluate. Health – General / Broad Market
Segments include: - How to lose weight - How to prevent /cure acne - Gout - Menopause - Pregnancy
Rinse and repeat this formula with any broader topic and you'll likely find a handful of desperate markets. Relationships – General/Broad Market Segments include: * Get your ex back * Avoid Divorce/ Repair Marriage * Improve Sex Life * Pick Up Women / Men
These are desperate markets that consist of highly motivated prospects who are anxiously looking for a solution or answer to their problem. Keep in mind that the best markets consist of buyers who are looking to relieve their pain whether emotional, physical or mental.
Take down notes of possible products and niche markets that look interesting to you. Then, search for related forums, groups and blogs to determine what people are looking for, how big the market is and what is currently in demand.
Then, investigate keywords to determine how much competition is in the marketplace as well as how many searches take place each month forspecific keyword phrases relating to each niche market.
If you plan to promote digital products, the best place to start looking for quality products is through ClickBank, available at http://www.Clickbank.com
ClickBank is the largest online marketplace for digital products, and you'll be able to quickly pinpoint hot sellers by browsing through their many categories.
ClickBank.com offers detailed statistics and information regarding each specific product making it even easier to quickly evaluate the profitability of potential campaigns.
Here is what these mean:
$/sale: The amount of money you earn for each sale.
Future $: Average rebill revenue.
Total $/sale: Average total $ per sale, including all rebills.
%/sale: The percentage of the product sale price that the sale represents.
%/refd: Fraction of publisher’s total sales that are referred by affiliates.
grav: The measure of how many affiliates are promoting the product.
For each affiliate paid in the last 8 weeks Clickbank adds an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 to the total. The more recent the last referral, the higher the value added.
The Gravity indicator will tell you how well a product is selling. So a gravity score of 100 means a product is potentially selling better than one with a gravity score of 20.
When it comes to gravity assigned to any specific product, a gravity of 70 or higher is usually a good sign that the product is still in demand, and being actively promoted by other affiliates.
To take things a bit further, you can use free services such as www.CBTrends.com or www.CBEngine.com to further evaluate each product, in terms of performance, demand, and the number of affiliate marketer's that are promoting it (which is always a good indication of how profitable the market is).
There are many other affiliate networks and marketplaces worth exploring, with many offering a combination of both digital and physical products.

Here are a few to help you get started:
Amazon Marketplace
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/
I suggest using Amazon to locate products primarily with a higher price point, as their payout rate is set at only 4%. Personally, I use Amazon only for products priced at $200 or higher to make up the difference in the low-end commission offer.
Still, the Amazon marketplace is a great way to monetize extra space on your website or blog, and with their extended affiliate options, such as being able to integrate an "astore" into your website, you're given a lot of flexibility as to how you can develop affiliate campaigns.
Tip: You can monetize your feeder sites with Amazon modules and plugins, just by logging into your Amazon Associates account and exploring their 'extended' options.
Commission Junction
Otherwise known as “CJ.com”, Commission Junction has been around for many years and is known to pay on time and provide unbeatable support.
They also feature hundreds of merchants across the board spanning
thousands of niche markets.
You may require approval prior to being able to participate in select affiliate programs, as Commission Junction provides merchants the opportunity to pre-approve affiliates, but the application is extremely simple and you can expect to receive a response in a matter of a few hours.
http://www.CommissionJunction.com
Share A Sale
http://www.ShareASale.com
ShareASale.com has grown into an extensive affiliate marketplace, and since all merchants are required to retain a cash balance of funds used to pay affiliates, it’s a risk-free way to ensure that you are paid for all of your efforts.
Pay Dot Com
http://www.paydotcom.com
PayDotCom is similar to ClickBank in that it only features digital products. One of the key differences between PayDotCom and Clickbank however is that when promoting products through PayDotCom, it's up the merchant to pay you, and this is done primarily through Paypal.

With ClickBank, you are paid by the company itself based on their payment schedule (every two weeks for paper check or weekly via direct bank transfer).
Link Share Services
Link Share is an ever-growing affiliate marketplace and with it comes a great variety of lucrative and high paying affiliate opportunities.
You can create your Link Share account at http://www.LinkShare.com
Here are a few resources to further help you find and evaluate potential niche markets: NicheBot:

Building A Good Marketing List.

If you were anything like me starting out, marketing lists were not at the top of my to do list. As time went on I realized that this is one of the most, if not the most, important thing you need. The great thing about lists that I couldn't wrap my head around years ago is that these people want to receive offers from you, not just surfing and click on an ad, actually targeted and interested. Honestly, I am not a good list builder. I promote things that I would or do use, its honest, but sometimes it doesn't generate as many leads as I would like. That's OK because my leads tend to stick around longer than most marketers. You can promote high commission junk and be successful, that is absolutely fine with me. I have done it and it has worked, but I like my way, so I guess it really depends on your business ethics among other things. I said I was not good at building lists, and I am pretty sure I am not the only one out here who isn't. I get 90% of my leads from programs I promote with automatic signings, what I mean is the enter name and email for access to the product. I have tried my own "from scratch" opt ins without much success, so use what you got and build from there. Try to be as honest as possible with your leads, promote good products, and don't get discouraged at unsubscribes. There's really no right or wrong way to generate leads, its just important to keep as many with you from one campaign to another, that's why I try to send out recommendations for decent products and sneak in high commission products occasionally. This keeps leads around longer and holds their interest. Try to find affiliate programs that help with lead generation and save them in a email file, keep in touch with them and send personal sounding recommendations. What I mean is try to connect with them instead of treating them like a number in your business, it works and they will appreciate it. This seems like alot of work, but as you will learn, it is absolutely necessary for a successful marketing career. I use Internet Income University, its free to sign up and has free lead generation. It also has great free resources, free website affiliate optimization, and much more. Go sign up, its free and generates free leads so you have absolutely nothing to lose. Thanks for reading everyone and come back daily. As always, feedback is appreciated. Good luck.

Google Adwords-The Internet's Electric Company

I'm not sure how it is for everyone else, but here our electric cooperative controls everything in the business. If you build a new home they run lines and get around to hooking things up when they get time. They charge pretty much what they want, but if you don't pay or do what they want when they want, your done, cut off, no more hot showers. This is the definition of Adwords to me, I'm sure there are people who disagree and love using Adwords, I'm not one of them. Let me tell you a quick story about one of my first Adwords experiences.

I was new to internet marketing and had bought a $50 program. One of the long, one page, get rich quick by tomorrow programs that still flood the internet today. This program included a set of websites, 3 or 4 to be promoted and commission earned on each sale. I immediately made some ads on Adwords, I had promoted Clickbank items with it so I at least knew how to set it up. Anyway, ads made, budget set, everything went fine for a day or two. I then logged in to see that my campaign had been stopped and then received an email saying that my ads were in violation of "the landing page rule" and if I did not fix it my account would be suspended. OK, well I paused all ads even though Google had already stopped them, immediately sent an email saying: "Listen, I do not want my account suspended, please tell me the exacts of what is going on and I will fix it", cross my heart and hope to die-I promise. I didn't actually say that but you get the idea, I was very professional actually. So a couple of HOURS later my Adwords account was permanently disabled, this was the only time this had ever happened, there was no multiple offenses. So I sent another email. WTF you know? Whats going on? well I got no response for a few days and then got an answer for my email which said, thanks for contacting us blah blah blah we see your account has been disabled for multiple landing page violations and we are filing this as resolved. This is a true story and I did not blatantly break any rules and I did want to resolve the matter effectively, to no avail mind you.

I have used Adwords since, I am not using Adwords today. There is no real alternative to Adwords, believe me I have searched all over the web. I can't understand why there isn't any competition. Google has search competition, there are several email clients, competition everywhere except Adwords. I have used Bidvetiser, Adbrite, etc, they are not real competition. Right now I advertise PPC on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bidvertiser, these are limited audience advertising except Bidvertiser which at the very least takes 48 hours to even get your ads running. I am having success with Twitter at the moment, and believe it or not, getting traffic from Squidoo. I am a member of Internet Income University, a free program with great resources. Signing up gets you affiliate streams with free site setup, a good commission structure, no membership fees, and the ability to pick and choose which products you want to market on the site they set up for you. It is worth it just to sign up and use the free training videos and resources so check it out at least. Thanks for reading this post everyone, check out the links below and good luck to all of you.
