Building A Good Marketing List.

If you were anything like me starting out, marketing lists were not at the top of my to do list. As time went on I realized that this is one of the most, if not the most, important thing you need. The great thing about lists that I couldn't wrap my head around years ago is that these people want to receive offers from you, not just surfing and click on an ad, actually targeted and interested. Honestly, I am not a good list builder. I promote things that I would or do use, its honest, but sometimes it doesn't generate as many leads as I would like. That's OK because my leads tend to stick around longer than most marketers. You can promote high commission junk and be successful, that is absolutely fine with me. I have done it and it has worked, but I like my way, so I guess it really depends on your business ethics among other things. I said I was not good at building lists, and I am pretty sure I am not the only one out here who isn't. I get 90% of my leads from programs I promote with automatic signings, what I mean is the enter name and email for access to the product. I have tried my own "from scratch" opt ins without much success, so use what you got and build from there. Try to be as honest as possible with your leads, promote good products, and don't get discouraged at unsubscribes. There's really no right or wrong way to generate leads, its just important to keep as many with you from one campaign to another, that's why I try to send out recommendations for decent products and sneak in high commission products occasionally. This keeps leads around longer and holds their interest. Try to find affiliate programs that help with lead generation and save them in a email file, keep in touch with them and send personal sounding recommendations. What I mean is try to connect with them instead of treating them like a number in your business, it works and they will appreciate it.
